Charming and highly collectible Claire McCardell late 1940's dress! Done in a heavier cotton canvas printed with navy and merlot stripes. Elastic runs around the neckline and straps and the bust is gathered on the sides for a blouson effect. Fitted waist and ultra full skirt with pockets. Side metal zip. Unlined.

Condition: Excellent Vintage: the elastic on the back is a little slack and the last owner pulled the elastic out of the channel to make it tighter. You can leave as is or replace the section. The front elastic and straps are stretchy, but previous owner has pulled the elastic tighter and is out of the channel. This doesn't affect wear at all, just a note.
