Fabulous handpainted blouse from Dorine Liebert New York. Done in an ivory rayon this is handprinted with honeycombs and bees! Scattered gold sequins adorns the front. Attached ties have sequin balls at the end. Button front with darts. Shoulder pads. Unlined. Hand washed and ready to wear.
The 1946 newspaper reads: Dorine was the wife of a successful professional man in Vienna, she designed her own clothes with the aid of an able dressmakers. The becomingness of these costumes attracted the attention of her friends who wanted something like them. Persuaded by her friends to go into business, she began as inauspiciously as this and eventually had her own shop in England. She specializes in beautiful blouses and luxurious negligees. "
