Mr. Blackwell dress and matching overskirt! Done in a brilliant emerald green satin. The dress has a gathered neckline, cap sleeves and intricate seaming on the bust. Back metal zip. The matching overskirt has a hook and eye at the waist with attached bow. Slightly longer in the back and open at the front. Both pieces are unlined.
Mr. Blackwell launched his label in the late 1950's and he dressed a lot of the the Hollywood stars such as Dorothy Lamour, Jayne Mansfield and others. His Custom line was made to order and fitted to a specific client in the couture tradition.
