Incredible 1970's Mexican dress by artist Georgia Charuhas! She was Chicago born and one of the first designers to use the native embroideries from Mexico. Brigitte Bardot wore one of her dresses and was photographed in it for the cover of a French magazine in 1973! Originally sold for around $120 ($700 in todays money) This one is done in an ivory cotton with stunning pin-tucking. Black velvet ribbon trim on the trumpet sleeves, peplum and on the hem. Lace insert on the deep v neckline and hem. More delicate lace trimming on the edges. Wide waist belt that is attached with decorative buckle and buttons. Unlined. Back zip. Handmade in Mexico.
