Stunning documented 1959 trapeze coat! Done in a black and white chunky tweed. Velvet strips radiate from braided trim. Wide velvet collar buttons on either side for a folded effect. Gold and black buttons. Fully lined in black satin. Front pockets.
Advertisement says: "In black and white tweed $119.95 handwoven in Picardie, reverse-fabric chevrons. Seal blend fabric $98.95 with large velvet chevrons detailing the back."

Condition: Very Good Vintage: small mend on the inside of one of the buttonholes (see last pic). Mends to interior pockets. Some of the white tweed has been rubbed off on the inside of the sleeve in a couple of places and on the wrists. All very minor.
